The Lives They Lead

I found this during some late night browsing.

  1. Judgmental, brutal, and absolutely true.

I’m befuddled how people bemoan “our society has become a generation of lazy, chubby, couch potatoes”. When you ask what they did last night: “oh, ordered pizza and watched Survivor. Did you see it?”

I always knew we lacked self-realization on a macro level. I love how this quotation unearths our absence of self-awareness on a micro level too.

I’m inspired to live a life I can be proud of. Thank you so much for sharing your late night browsing. Clearly you were not watching reality TV.

  2. Excellent point. I had interpreted the quote on a strictly micro level. That people pay for things they do just by becoming the person who does good/bad things. (That's punishment enough.)

I like how you applied it to a societal level.
